"Glorification of the Riesling grape"

95/100 points: this was the highest result in the Wine Enthusiast report about dry Rieslings from around the world.

Citation and tasting note from writer Roger Voss:

"Just to the north, in Kamptal, is the great Heiligenstein vineyard, a monument to Riesling. Fully exposed to the south, it allows the Riesling to extend its ripening well into November before the cold comes."

"The purest Riesling flavors are to be found in this great wine, which comes from old vines (Alte Reben), giving extra concentration, richness and a glorification of the Riesling grape. At this stage, it is still very tight and closed up, but there is so much leashed power here, along with complex hints of fruits, minerals and exotic perfumes. Give at least five years, and it will begin to slowly evolve."
