Cabernet Franc Vincent 2008

This wine is sourced from the famous Heiligenstein where Cabernet Franc vines grow in the  “Lyra trellis system”. This vineyard was planted by Willi 30 years ago with special foresight for future generations.

In forethought, some later ripening grape varieties predestined for warmer climates and meager soils have been planted for experimentation. Vincent Cabernet is a result of this exploration.

Alcohol: 13,5 % vol.

Tasting note:
Deep color with a slightly lighter rim; mix of fresh and cooked elderberry, black currant, cherry, and dried plums, as well as  peppery spice on the nose that follow  through on the palate; vigorous but well-balanced and compact; elegant, long and complex finish with hints of chocolate leather, pepper, refreshing minerals and tobacco.

Food pairing:
all sorts of roast meat, steaks, wild goose, game with hearty sauces, breast of duck, as well as strongly flavored cheeses if not too vulgar
