2003
Soft yellow apple, peach and brioche. Full bodied and harmonious in the mouth with ripe pear and discreet caramelized apple flavors complemented by floral nuances and given shape by lively, integrated acidity. Very long, rich, and flavorful on the finish, leaving fresh apple and mineral slats to linger. Bründlmayer´s Chardonnay ist consistently one of Austria´s very best examples of the variety. The multi-layered nose displays caramel notes with underlying fine-fruit aromas, vanilla pod, ripe fruit nuances; on the palate this Burgundy-like offering is fresh, showing a perfectly integrated fruity acidity; feels already very mature on the sweetness-laced finish; a multi-faceted effort that goes with nearly all food.
